Set up Workmark
- Use a Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
- Open Workmark and follow its setup flow.
- Allow Location Services when prompted so macOS can provide the Wi-Fi network name. Workmark does not collect coordinates.
- Add the office Wi-Fi names you want to record. Network-name matching is exact.
- Choose your personal weekly and monthly goals and the daily threshold.
- Leave Workmark running. You can close its main window and check progress in the menu bar.
My office time is not recording
Check that your Mac is awake, Wi-Fi is on, and you are connected to a chosen office network. Confirm the network name matches your saved entry exactly.
In System Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, check that Location Services is enabled and Workmark has permission. Then return to Workmark to check its network status.
If recording is paused, resume it. Quitting Workmark stops automatic recording; closing its main window does not.
Unavailable network information is a gap, not time that the app silently credits.
My recorded total is wrong
Open the overview, select the day, and choose Edit day. Set the manual day total to your own account of the day.
A manual total replaces the day’s automatic total. It does not add to that total or create an extra recorded session. To return to the original source, choose Use Wi-Fi automatic total.
I work at more than one office
Add each office Wi-Fi network name in Settings. Workmark records only exact matches to the networks you select.
If two places use the same network name, a name match alone cannot distinguish them. Wi-Fi association is not location verification.
What counts toward a goal?
Your daily threshold determines when recorded time counts as an office day. Weekly and monthly progress follow your personal goals and calendar settings.
Calendar-setting changes can recalculate progress without changing the underlying session timestamps. A goal is a personal planning tool, not an employer attendance check.
Remove local records
Use Delete all data in Workmark’s Settings and review the confirmation before continuing. This removes local records; we cannot recover them remotely. Copies in your own backups are managed separately through your backup tools.
Report a problem
Before contacting support, note your macOS version, Workmark version, the visible recording status, and the steps that led to the problem.
A screenshot can help, but redact office Wi-Fi names and personal records first. Never send Wi-Fi passwords. Direct contact details appear below when configured for launch.
